It's still the beginning of 2023, but several films have already made an impression on moviegoers, such as Blumhouse's murder puppet movie M3GAN and M. Night Shyamalan's latest thriller Knock at the Cabin. But perhaps the craziest movie of the year is about to be seen: Cocaine Bear.

Directed by Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 2) it is actually based on the true story of a bear who, as the title suggests, swallowed a ton of cocaine. What could go wrong? A recent screening of the film was attended by the full cast, led by Keri Russell and Ray Liotta. In particular, the review of the film is as follows.

Inspired by the true story of the 1985 plane crash, missing cocaine and a black bear, this violent dark comedy follows an oddball group of cops, criminals, hikers and teenagers who gather in the 500-pound Georgia woods. The insatiable predator took a surprising amount of cocaine and fueled new hits with cocaine... and blood.

Is this intense basis consistent with deception? If you believe the early critical reviews, it's a lot, and then some.

The best film of the year.

Critics have recently started taking note of The Cocaine Bear on social media and giving their first reviews of the film. Overall, they were overwhelmingly positive, more than anyone could have hoped for. /Film Rafael Motamayor reviewed the film and named it the best film of the year so far.

“#CocaineBear is the best movie of the year so far. It works like a slasher movie, but the bear is fun to work with, but also a hilariously absurd comedy that only Lord and Miller are capable of. The cast is incredible."

Meanwhile, Fangoria editor-in-chief Phil Nobile Jr. tweeted that there's a lot more going on in the film than viewers think.

“There's a whole weird world #CocaineBear is set in that isn't even mentioned in the trailer. In any case, there is a lot going on outside the bear that makes sense in retrospect. Crazy photo. I'm glad it's a movie character. call the bear "Cocaine Bear".

Jack Kennedy of Big Time Movies also promoted the theatrical experience that comes with it, saying "This is my favorite movie of the year. Funniest movie I've seen in 2 years and such a blast. Much to [Phil] Lord and [Chris] Miller. If the theater experience is like mine, if it's like a show, you're going to have a great time at the movies."

Similarly, Chris Aguilar, appearing on the big screen, said: “#Cockenbear is the best comedy of 2023 so far, bringing the killer anti-shows of the 90s to life. The cast confused the strings, but Margot. Martindale - MVP. Terrible ambulance. Timer for dogs.

Silly, crazy and wildly funny

So far, it is difficult to find anything completely negative in the recent efforts of bank management. Despite rumors of a missing cast and pointless events, the film seems to live up to expectations. The MSB of the film's dialogue was to add the following.

“Cocaine Bear delivers what you expect from it. an absolutely insane bear who causes bloody mayhem by doing unimaginably stupid things. Totally pointless, but insanely fun time when nothing matters except a cocaine-shelled bear."
