Nothing beats Chris Hemsworth . As much as we love him as Thor, fans will be happy to know there are more Australian actors this year. He will have a mission in the new Netflix movie Evacuation 2 , which will be released on July 16, 2023.

A 2020 prequel, the action movie follows mercenary Tyler Rake (Chris) after he is left for dead in Mumbai. This time he faces a new obstacle, with actors Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa by his side.

Fans were thrilled when the first trailer for the film was released in September 2022. The clip reveals that Tyler is alive and ready for revenge. This means that a lot of action awaits you.

Since the original was one of the most-watched movies on Netflix , the platform is hoping for another hit. The movie has already been labeled as one of the best streaming deals of 2023, so we're really excited. And we know no one can resist Hemsworth, so might as well dress up.

Clip 2 follows the casting formula of the first film. Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake, a former SASR agent turned Black Ops mercenary. Golshifte Farahani plays Nick Khan, Tyler's mercenary. Adam Bessa as Yaz Kahn, a member of Nick's team. Little is known about the rest of the cast.

Chris promises some serious action, telling Entertainment Weekly that Extraction 2 was "the most detailed and grueling combat training I've ever taken part in." Continuing to evaluate the project, he added: “We went to the moon. In a very action-packed world, I think we did something very special.

Director Sam Hargrave also returned for the sequel. "Evacuation" was his first film as a director. Prior to joining the show , he worked as a researcher for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also served as associate director for the second season of The Mandalorian . The script was written by Marvel favorite Joe Russo , who also produced the original.

Speaking to Collider about the film in June 2022, Joe warned fans not to expect a sequel. "It's very big. It's very different from Extract 1 , which we love," he said.

"And for us, it's an interesting approach to serializing a story, it's more surprising and unpredictable and you don't get the same movie as last time. So we're very excited and we think it's beautifully shot. Hemsworth is awesome in it. And we're thrilled to share that with viewers."

Extraction 2 will be released on July 16, 2023 on Netflix. Action junkies should definitely mark their calendars. There are currently no theatrical release plans.

"Evacuation" is a reference to the process of capturing a hostage or victim from danger, one of Tyler's main missions. The 2020 original introduces the world to a covert ops specialist tasked with rescuing the son of an international crime boss, but finds himself embroiled in a world of drugs and guns. It became the most-watched original film in Netflix history, with the streamer telling Variety that 99 million households watched Extraction in its first four weeks.

The sequel's cryptic synopsis reveals: Not having survived the events of the first film, Rei returns as an Australian mercenary with another deadly mission: to rescue the devastated family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from their prison. ."

Like the previous one, the project is based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Andy Parks , Joe Russo, Anthony Russo , Fernando Leon Gonzalez and Eric Skillman. Evacuation 2 could be the start of many sequels. In December 2020, the Russo Brothers told Collider that they hoped to create a series set in the same world as Evacuee .

Production schedule

Extraction 2 was originally scheduled to begin filming in Sydney, Australia in September 2021, but production was moved to Prague due to Covid measures. Principal photography began in late November 2022, but Chris revealed that filming didn't begin until December 4, 2022.

The film also includes scenes shot from January 28 to February 14, 2022 in Vienna, Austria. Filming took place on April 6, 2022, after filming scenes near the Donau. A brief review was carried out in November 2022. Before the project was officially ready for the pasta platter.
