SPIDERMAN: NO WAY HOME Star Willem Dafoe Wasn't A Fan Of Movie's DeAgeing Visual Effects

Spider-Man: No Way Home brings back a number of villains from the franchise's past, but because they were brought into the MCU right before they died, it meant outdated technology had to be used.

Marvel Studios has mastered this in recent years, and we can safely say that the work that went into making Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina look like Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 was nearly flawless. However, the Green Goblin actor disagrees!

During a recent interview with Wired, in which Dafoe answered questions from fans, he was asked if he liked the end result like it was in the early 2000s.

"No, I don't think so," Defoe admitted. - Yes, there are some very blurry photos. I think it's ridiculous because they're old, haven't gone yet. And what's the point? By the way, I don't look that old, I don't think it's cream.

While the actor clearly knows his own face best, this seems like a very harsh assessment. In fact, we'd say the suit looks worse, especially in the scene above, where the comfortable 2002 suit is unabashedly brought to life thanks to less-than-perfect visual effects.

Elsewhere in the interview, Dafoe also hinted that he might return as Norman Osborn. When asked if he would return, the actor simply replied, "Yeah, that's a good question..."

We don't plan on seeing him as Goblin again unless he's in a Sony Pictures project, and based on his role as Vulture on Morbius , that's not really something we want to think about! Then again, if we transmigrate into the world of Eco-Spider-Man in Avengers: Age of Ultron or Avengers: Secret Wars , a healed Norman can help Peters.

Do you think the image of Spider-Man: No Way Home lives up to it?
