The event recognized the excellence of the film's independent elements, such as Kiri ( Sigourney Weaver ) and the creation of a wall in various parts of the adventure.

Not a real boy, but very real

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio was celebrated in several categories. The film mixes stop motion animation and special effects to create an exciting and different take on the iconic character. The film tells the same story as we know it but with added elements of grief, loss and dark fantasy. Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro won for Outstanding Visual Effects in an Animated Feature Film, as well as for Outstanding Character (Pinocchio himself) and Outstanding Environment Creation.
