‘Avatar: The Way Of Water Wins Best Visual Effects Oscar, Just Like Original Did 13 Years Ago

Earlier this awards season, Letteri said in an exclusive interview with Gold Derby Video: “Once we knew what the story was, the discussion became more about, ‘Are we going to get the special effects we need? The water is certainly cool, but the icons. ? This movie has a lot of characters with speaking roles, a lot of different characters, old, young, new and different types. In general, we didn't stop working on it after his death, but the last real push for the movie, when Jim started doing the show, was about five years ago."
