Will ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once Be The 3rd Film To Win 3 Acting Oscars?

The SAG Awards are often very close to an Oscar for acting. With everything and everywhere at the same time, unprecedented success in all categories, including three different acting competitions, the question immediately arises, can he do the same at the Oscars? Only two films in history have won three acting trophies.

Watch "Banshees of Inisherin, or Everything Everywhere" becomes the 9th film to win both acting Oscars.

"A Streetcar Named Desire" was the first. Adapted from the play by Tennessee Williams , the 1951 film won Best Actress ( Viv Lee ), Best Supporting Actor ( Karl Malden ) and Best Supporting Actor ( Kim Hunter ). The only award he missed was the award for best actor for the most popular performance of Marlon Brando in a film. Instead, the award went to Humphrey Bogart for The African Queen.

Then The Network did the same in 1976, winning three awards out of five Best Actor nominations. Best Actor went posthumously to Peter Finch . Faye Dunaway won Best Actress. And Best Supporting Actress went to Beatrice Live , which lasted just over five minutes and was the shortest role to win an Oscar for acting. Two acting losses in the film went to William Holden in the lead role (who lost to his co-star) and Best Supporting Actor Ned Beatty (who lost to Jason Robards in "All the President's Men").

From the looks of it, things are looking good for two acting Oscars overall. Michelle Yeoh recently topped our list of best actress, according to Gold Derby users, although Cate Blanchett ("TAR") remains a major threat. The best bet seems to be Ke Hai Kuan for Best Supporting Actor, as he won every award except for the BAFTA, which went to Barry Keoghan (Banshee of the Legacy).

The toughest category for a film will be Best Supporting Actress : Jamie Lee Curtis won the SAG Award, but it was her first big win of the season and she's currently third on our ranking behind Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ). ) and Kerry . Condon ("Bansshee"). Curtis will have to bridge a possible vocal gap with his co-star Stephanie Hsu, who stars in the film.

But it happened at SAG, so there's a chance it could happen at the Oscars, too.
