Based on the trailer and synopsis of the upcoming episode, the winning team of the event will face a tough decision as to who will be selected for elimination.
However, a particular player may be sent to the area by other performers.
Although this player is not named, the synopsis hints at a home run threat from TJ Lavigne just before the final out.
This report will contain spoilers for The Challenge: Ride or Dice season.
Challenge 38 Episode 16 Title and Synopsis
In episode 15 of Ride or Dice, viewers saw two former champions sent home. Earlier in the episode, season 37 winner Casey Clark and her brother Kenny lost to Jordan Weasley and Anise Ferreira, ending their run on the show.
At the end of the episode, the cast said goodbye to Double Agent winner Amber Borjotra, who lost an elimination match to her boyfriend Chance Palmer. Still, Jordan and Anissa are busy taking down the former champion and his partner.
Other champions were eliminated early in the season, including Turabi "Turbo" Kamkiran, Laurel Stackey, Veronica Portillo, and Darrell Taylor. Only two remain: Jordan and Johnny Bananas.
Episode 16 is titled Friends or Frozen, possibly a reference to the upcoming Daily Challenge, which may end before the synopsis.
"With the final exam fast approaching, the players fear they've missed the champion for too long. The winning couples argue over which team will be chosen," read the IMDB synopsis.
Banan seems like a logical choice for champion, as he's the only player fighting in zone.
Johnny Bananas won his eighth Challenge title
On Season 38 of The Challenge, the former The Real World: Key West star is aiming for eighth place in the Bananas Championship. The 40-year-old reality TV icon will star in the 21st season of the MTV competition series.
Most recently, he won his previous appearance on The Challenge, Total Madness, before going on hiatus for a few seasons. That season he defeated runners-up Kyle Christie, Corey Wharton, Rogan O'Connor and Faisal "Facey" Shafat.
Previously, Bananas was the winner of Rivals III, where she kept all the prize money for herself, leaving teammate Sarah Rice penniless.
Other seasons have seen Bananas win Free Agent, Battle of the Axes, Rivals, Ruins and Island. According to his Challenge Fandom page, his net worth is currently $1,184,720.
Now he's trying to help The Challenge regular Nani Gonzalez win her first championship since The Real World: Las Vegas: Ride or Dice star as her teammate.
However, the synopsis for episode 16 reveals that the teams have now decided it's time to try and get rid of one of the greatest players of all time, meaning Nani is in danger of going home as well.
The Challenge: Ride or Dice airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on MTV.
